A Chashaku is used for matcha preparation. Its gentle curve and precise angle make it easy to reach into containers and measure the ideal amount of matcha with intention. The smooth bamboo surface adds a comforting, natural touch to your tea ritual.
Each scoop is individually crafted from a single piece of bamboo. Because bamboo is a natural material, subtle variations in colour and form are to be expected. No two Chashaku are exactly the same, making each one uniquely yours.

Using the Chashaku
For a standard bowl of usucha, we use roughly one to two rounded scoops, which comes to about 2g of matcha. Some days you may take a little more, other days a little less and that gentle variation is part of the charm.
Care & Handling
Wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth or tissue after use. No rinsing! Do not use water or soap when cleaning. A wet chashaku will absorb matcha powder.
